Although Fritschel has tossed the ball before, she is designating her grandson to throw the first pitch this year.

"I've thrown out the first pitch before and I made it to the plate!," said Fritschel. "Tomorrow night, I'm designating my oldest grandson, Josh, to throw out the first pitch. He is 9 and plays baseball on a traveling team from Medina, where my daughter and family lives. He is a huge baseball fan and always watches Sports Center on TV."

Previously, the Stow Community Night was at Progressive Park in Cleveland.Β

"It was pricey for a number of people ... we were not seated together" said the mayor, which defeated the purpose of a community night. "CanalΒ ParkΒ is a very family-friendly baseball park and much less expensive than going toΒ ProgressiveΒ Park."

Aside from the special Stow community events, it is alsoΒ Radiator Springs or Bust FireworksΒ night, there will be an appearance by Breakin'Β BBoy McCoyΒ and a chance to win tickets to see Cars 2.
