Photos: 2 Arrested for Meth Lab Operation with Young Child in Home

Two men were arrested Monday evening for manufacturing methamphetaminesΒ in their garage and home with a 2-year-old child in the house, according toΒ .
When police arrived at 2106Β UniondaleΒ Dr., officers saw the men producingΒ methΒ in the garage as well as throughout the home, said police. The department received an anonymous tip about possible illegal drug activity.
One of the men, Stephen Gene McKinney, 41, of Norman Drive, ran into the home with a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic gun, said police.Β Police also found a loaded .38Β airweightΒ revolver in his truck.

McKinney and Lewis Gene Butler, Jr., 38, ofΒ UniondaleΒ Drive were both arrested without incident.Β
McKinney is charged with illegalΒ manufacturingΒ of drugs (first-degree felony), weapons underΒ disabilityΒ (third-degree felony),Β possessionΒ of drugs (fifth-degree felony).Β

Butler is charged with illegalΒ manufacturingΒ of drugs.Β
The charge of illegal manufacturing of drugs was elevated to a first-degree felony because of the presence of a young child in the home, according to police.Β
The two men were taken to Summit County Jail and are awaiting video arraignmentΒ atΒ Β this morning.
