Photos: 2 Arrested for Meth Lab Operation with Young Child in Home

Two men were arrested Monday evening for manufacturing methamphetamines in their garage and home with a 2-year-old child in the house, according to .

When police arrived at 2106 Uniondale Dr., officers saw the men producing meth in the garage as well as throughout the home, said police. The department received an anonymous tip about possible illegal drug activity.

One of the men, Stephen Gene McKinney, 41, of Norman Drive, ran into the home with a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic gun, said police. Police also found a loaded .38 airweight revolver in his truck.

McKinney and Lewis Gene Butler, Jr., 38, of Uniondale Drive were both arrested without incident. 

McKinney is charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs (first-degree felony), weapons under disability (third-degree felony), possession of drugs (fifth-degree felony). 

Butler is charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs. 

The charge of illegal manufacturing of drugs was elevated to a first-degree felony because of the presence of a young child in the home, according to police. 

The two men were taken to Summit County Jail and are awaiting video arraignment at  this morning.
