High School Reports Theft, Marijuana Smokers: Police News
The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
visited twice last week in response to a lunchroom theft report and an incident involving two males smoking marijuana on school property:
- A 14-year-old student reported that when she arrived in the commons for lunch on Nov. 16, she put her purse on a table and went to buy lunch. When she returned to the table, her purse was gone. The Nicole Miller silver purse was valued at $50, and it contained a wallet at $10 and prescription eyeglasses valued at $150.
- During the afternoon on Nov. 18, a teacher at the high school reported seeing two male students leave the building through a back door and walk into the baseball field dugout. School officials told police the students admitted to smoking marijuana and a cigarette in the dugout. One of the students, 15, was found to have a glass marijuana pipe containing residue and a “Mega Fun Dough” container with marijuana residue inside. He was referred to Stow Youth Services for possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse, both misdemeanors.
