Police Blotter: Trees, Body Spray and License Plate Stolen
A sampling of police blotter items from May 11-18.

AΒ Bath and Body WorksΒ employee reported toΒ Β that on May 14, a group of about 12 people came into the store while she was working alone and took about $1,000 in products.
The report states the employee said she believed some of the individuals were keeping her busy while others were taking 26 bottles of body spray (valued at $29.50 each) and two bags full of multiple products (valued at $110 each). The group never purchased anything before leaving the store. Theft, in this situation, is a fifth-degree felony.Β

- On May 18, an Akron woman reported to Stow Police that her car was keyed while on at a LβErmitage Place residence. The damage is valued at $1,000. Vandalism, in this situation, is a fifth-degree felony.Β
- An Akron resident reported to police that his carβs back window was broken while parked atΒ LoweβsΒ May 18 around 4:30 p.m. Police checked the security camera for the parking lot, but the camera was not pointing toward the manβs vehicle, according to the report. Nothing was reported missing from the car. Criminal damaging, in this situation, is a second-degree misdemeanor.
- AnΒ Β employee reported to police that sometime overnight May 11 two trees were taken from the business. TheΒ Crimson Queen Red MapleΒ trees, valued at $379 total, were in seven-gallon pots at the outdoor display area. The employee found empty pots near the roadside of the business. Theft, in this situation, is a first-degree misdemeanor.
- On May 13, a Diana Lynn Drive resident reported to police that his front handicapped license plate was missing. When police arrived, it appeared the license plate had been ripped off of the front of the car. Theft, in this situation, is a fifth-degree felony.
