Police: Lawn Ornament, Rings Stolen, Underage Drinking at Party

A Danforth Reserve man reported to police that about $2,500 in jewelry was taken from his home June 20. The four rings stolen were stored in a box in his bedroom. A wedding band, valued at $750, was the most expensive item taken. Theft, in this situation, is a fifth-degree felony.
In other police news:
- A Maribend Drive man told police his lawn ornament was taken from his front yard June 24. The ornament was a purple bowling ball covered in translucent multi-colored glass ovals. The ornament is valued at $25. Theft, in this situation, is a first-degree misdemeanor.
- Β Police responded to a complaint of a large party on McTaggart Road June 24. When officers arrived, several underage youths were drinking. The teens were taken back to their parents. The homeowners were issued summons to appear at Stow Municipal Court.
