Reductions, Resignations and 5 Year Strategic Plan — Tonight's School Board Meeting

The is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. tonight at the high school and there is a laundry list of items on the agenda.

• Budget Reduction Resolution: "The Board is mindful of the need to control district expenditures, and is especially concerned that any spending reductions and personnel changes be impletented in a way that will have minimal impact on the classroom and education of students." • Five-Year Strategic Plan: The board is presenting the plan for the next five years — from September to August 2016. Included in the plan is the mission and vision statements. "The Stow-Munroe Falls City School District's Five-Year Plan was developed through a collaborative effort over a six-month period. Input was received from community members, parents, staff members, students, board of education members and administrators," said Superintendent Russ Jones. "Each of the seven categories in the plan has a number of action steps that will be completed over the five-year period."
