Resident Volunteers at Stow Law Department
A Stow woman volunteered her services to the law department for two weeks.
While the law department's secretary was on vacation, Sonia Blazina of Stow volunteered her services to the city for two weeks.
"Sonia not only volunteered for two weeks with us, but she came in extra hours ahead of time to train," said Law Director Brian Reali.
City Council publicly commended Sonia during its July 28 meeting.

Sonia was no stranger to the law department though. After finishing paralegal school, she was an intern this summer for the law department.
"It's been a pleasure working with everyone in law department," said Sonia. "It was just a wonderful opportunity to do something I love and enjoy for a city that is wonderful. Thank you."

Sonia accepted the commendation with her daughter and husband, David July 28.
"I had the opportunity to meet both David and Sonia, they are a very good Stow family and if anyone is looking for a good paralegal, Sonia is your person," said Councilmember Mike Rasor.
"We really do appreciate anyone who volunteers. It is way up in my estimation, it's what makes our country great," said Council President Janet D'Antonio.
