Two Shot in Stow Saturday Night (UPDATE)

Many details about the situation are still unknown.

Police are piecing together why two people were shot in a house at 4034 Osage St. at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police were looking for the shooters late Saturday. The injuries to both victims are not life-threatening, police said in a news release.

Stow police officersΒ responded to a call about a man being shot at the Osage St. address and found Jason Hoy, 20, had been shot in a lower limb.

Hoy was taken to a nearby hospital and interviewed by Stow detectives.

At 7:01 p.m., police received a call that someone was dropped off by a private car at Akron General North with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim, 21-year-old Andrew Brown, was interviewed by Stow detectives and treated for his injuries.Β 

Brown and Hoy told police that three men entered the Osage Street home, shot them and then fled.Β 

Stow Police Department Evidence Technicians recovered several shell casings, a quantity of marijuana, scales and other drug paraphernalia from the scene of the shooting.Β 

Stow police are following up on several leads and the investigation is continuing.Β

Two people were shot in Stow Saturday evening, Mayor Sara Drew said.

The two victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The mayor said the Stow Police Department is investigating.Β
