'Smart Choice' for Smart Phone-Friendly City Website

Smart phone users can now easily browse the city's website on their mobile.

Stow recently updated its software to allow easy navigation of the city's website on smart phones.

Dale Germanos, director of information systems, called the switch a "smart choice."

"The cost of that change was only about $300," he said.

Β in Stow operates the site,Β www.stow.oh.us, for the city.Β 

On the new mobile page, there is a contact button at the top for all city employee phone numbers and email addresses.

Below the contacts button, there is a list of tabs: Home; Community; Government; Departments; Current Matters; Business Development.

There is also an option to view the page as the full website, like it is seen on a computer.

"We really thought this was a worthwhile change," Germanos said.
