
The softball team added two more wins to its perfect record this weekend.
The Lady Bulldogs got on the scoreboard first as they scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning April 9 against Field.
A one out double by Sarah Parsons followed by an Alex Shaver double plated Stow’s first run. Stephanie Little’s single then sent Shaver home for the second run.

Field responded with a single run in the second inning but Stow maintained a 2-1 lead.
In the third inning, Julie Rooney walked with one out, stole second base before being driven in by Parsons, who went to second on the throw home. Shaver then singled and Parsons scored as Stow took a 4-1 lead.

The game remained close as Field scored a single run in the fourth inning and then plated two runs in the top of the fifth to tie the score at 4 runs a piece.
A lead off double by Parsons started the fifth inning for Stow. She went to third on a ground out play and then scored on an RBI ground out by Little as Stow regained the lead at 5-4 through 5 innings.
After a scoreless sixth inning, Field again took the lead by scoring two runs in the top of the seventh inning fora 6-5 advantage.
Jennie Heid reached base with a single to start the home half of the seventh inning for Stow. Rooney received a walk, putting two runners on base with no outs. Parsons singled, her fourth hit of the game, sending Heid home to tie the score at 6. After going to third on a ground out play, Rooney then scored the game winning run on a failed pick-off play at third base.
The winning pitcher for Stow was Annette Fetter, increasing her season record to 4-0. Stow’s 11 hit offense was lead by Parsons who was 4 for 4, with 2 doubles and 2 singles, 2 RBI and 3 runs. Little was 2 for 3, both singles and 2 RBI. Shaver was 2 for 4, with a double, 2 singles and 2 RBI. Jenni Heid was 2 for 3, both singles.
Stow beats Tallmadge 3-2
Both teams scored a single run in the first inning. A two out double by Shaver followed by an errant throw by the Tallmadge shortstop on a hard grounder by Little allowed Stow to score its first run.
Tallmadge took a 2-1 lead by scoring a run in the third inning.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Lady Bulldogs scored a pair of runs as Shaver reach first base on a blooper to the right side of the infield that glanced off of the Tallmadge fielder’s glove allowing her to be safe on an error.
Little sent a double to left field scoring Shaver to tie the score at 2-2. Little advanced to third on a passed ball and scored the go ahead run on an Alisha Haby an RBI ground out to second base.
Neither team scored in the following three innings as Stow’s unbeaten record for the season increased to a 6-0 mark.
Rooney recorded her second win of the season on the mound for Stow as she recorded 5 strikeouts. Shaver ended the game with a double and scored 2 runs while Little also had a double and scored 1 run.
Stow’s next game is against Cuyahoga Falls on Monday at 4:30 and they travel to Hudson on Wednesday for a 4:30 game.
