Stow Honor Guard Leading Cleveland Parade For Bastock, Fallen Officers
The parade is May 20 and will honor several fallen officers in the area, including Stow's Officer Jonathan Bastock who died in February.

Stow Police Chief Louis Dirker said it is unusual to be inducted to the memorial so quickly.
"Since Jonathan passed so early this year they did not want to wait until next year to induct him into the memorial," said Dirker.

"We are very pleased that Jonathanβs name will be added this year and it is quite an honor for the department to have the Honor Guard lead the parade," the chief said. "Special thanks go to Retired Cleveland Police Sgt. Chas Lane for his efforts to have Jonathan honored this year."

The parade begins forming at 9 a.m. May 20Β at East 12thΒ and Lakeside Avenue in downtown Cleveland, then proceeds about half a mile to Huntington Park where the memorial is near West 3rd. The parade steps-off at 10:30 a.m.
The public is invited to the event.
