
Stow was back in the win column today defeating visiting Girard by an 11-2 score.
Girard scored first, plating a single run in the first inning. Stow responded with two runs in the home half of the inning as Julie Rooney had a lead off single and was driven home by Alex Shavers' single to left field.
Shaver then scored as Lindsay Jones sent a ball to deep left center field for an RBI double.

Stow increased their lead in the second inning. Jenni Heid was hit by a pitch and advanced to third on a stolen base and a passed ball. Heid scored on a Chloe Vickrey ground out to first base.
With two outs Rooney reached base with a bunt hit and Sarah Pars got on by an error. Shaver then hit a double to right field scoring both Rooney and Parsons. An RBI single by Stephanie Little sent Shaver across the plate as Stow took a 6-1 lead.

Following Girard getting its second run in the fourth inning, the Lady Bulldogs scored 4 runs in the bottom half of the inning.
After a lead off double by Little, Jones sent a ball over the left field fence for her first home run of the season. Alisha Habyan followed with a single, Danielle Tiller received a walk and Brittany Lynner had abase hit to load the bases. Rooney then worked the count receiving an RBI bases loaded walk to score another run as Stow increased their lead to 10-2 after 5 innings.
Stow scored again in the bottom of the sixth inning with a leadoff double by Little and a free pass for Jones. After both runners advancing by stolen bases, a Habyan ground out to first base allowed Stow to take an 11-2 lead.
Girard was then held scoreless in the seventh inning.Lindsay Jones went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and the home run as she recorded 2 RBI. Stephanie Little was 3 for4 with 2 doubles, scored 2 runs and 1 RBI.
Alex Shaver had 2 hits, 3 RBI and scored 2 runs. Julie Rooney had2 hits, scored 2 runs and 1 RBI. Alisha Habyan had 2 singles, scored a run and 1 RBI. Brittany Lynner had 2singles. Annette Fetter started the game to get the win, taking her season record to 6-0. Rooney pitch the final two innings in relief for Stow.
Stow traveled to the Columbus area this weekend, playing 3 games in the 6th Annual Gahanna Lincoln Softball Showcase.
