Stow Softball Team Loses to Twinsburg on Senior Night
Seniors Julie Brandt, Annette Fetter, Sarah Parsons and Julie Rooney were recognized at the game.
The softball team lost an 8 inning game at home to Twinsburg Wednesday, going down by a score of 1-2.
It was Senior Night honoring the four Lady Bulldog seniors β Julie Brandt, Annette Fetter, Sarah Parsons and Julie Rooney.
Stow was on the scoreboard first as they scored an unearned run in the bottom of the second inning to take a 1-0lead in the game. Stephanie Little reach base by error on a ball dropped by the Twinsburg right fielder. She was moved to second base on a sacrifice bunt by Lindsay Jones and advanced to third on a passed ball.

After Jenni Heid reached base on a walk, Fetter had an RBI ground ball to shortstop, scoring Little from third. Fetter was safe at first base on the second Twinsburg error in the inning, but Stow was unable to score any more runs.
Twinsburg did not score until the fifth inning when they plated a single run on two hits and a walk to tie the game at 1-1. The game remained tied through 7 innings.
In the eighth inning the Twinsburg lead off batter hit a triple to right field. She scored on a sacrifice fly ball out for the game winning run.

Stow was not able to score in the bottom of the eighth inning giving Twinsburg the extra-inning win.
Fetter took the loss for Stow going 8 innings and recording 4 strikeouts dropping her season record to10-5. Stow was held hitless in the game by the Twinsburg pitcher.
The overall record for Stow now stands at 13-7 for the season.
