Video: Students Help Spring Clean Around Stow

Students at the Stow-Munroe Falls High School are volunteering time Tuesday and Thursday to help seniors clean out garages, rake leaves, lay down mulch and do other various chores.

Assistant  Supervisor Kathy McConnell said part of her job is to oversee the senior adult programs and working with the school district was a good way to get the two entities involved together.

"We have been working with Stow Parks and Rec for the past year. Our first event was the Remember When Luncheon where seniors from the community attended lunch at Joshua's and the high school journalists interviewed them about what life was like when they were young," said District Spokesperson Jacquie Mazziotta. "This is an extension of that partnership where our students can work together with and help support the senior citizens of Stow and Munroe Falls."
