WATCH: School Board Accepts Teacher Retirements, Awards Supplemental Contracts

The board approved a number of district-wide personnel changes, including awarding more than 30 supplemental contracts.

Superintendent Russ Jones recognized the retirement of "two educators who’ve spent a great deal of time with our children," referring to Steven Kalb and Deb Miles.

Kalb is retiring Oct. 26 as a physical education teacher at Lakeview Intermediate School after 35 years of service. Miles, a teacher at Echo Hills Elementary School, is retiring effective Oct. 31 after 25 years of service.

The board also approved a permanent appropriation resolution for fiscal year 2013.
