Like something out of an Acme cartoon, someone in Stow laid thumb tacks along a sidewalk. A resident of the 4900 block of Friar Road stopped into the station Aug. 14 to tell officers that she found tacks on the sidewalk near her apartment. She found out about the tacks because her children noticed them in their scooter tires. Damage to the tires on the electric scooter is valued at $40. Criminal mischief is a third-degree misdemeanor in this situation.
