3 Strongsville Seniors Nominated to US Military Service Academies
The trio have applied to the Air Force, Army, and Naval Academies. They were nominated by Congressman Jim Renacci.

STRONGSVILLE, OH - Three Strongsville High School seniors were recently nominated for the United States service academies by Ohio Congressman Jim Renacci, 16th District Representative. Nathan Karr, James Keating and Mark Pollack received the nomination.
The trio were nominated based on their academic performance, leadership skills, extracurricular involvement and character. Strongsville had three of the 14 students students nominated from Cuyahoga County, tied for most in Cuyahoga County with St. Edward High School.
- Nathan is a member of the varsity track team and Vice President of Model UN - US Naval Academy
- James is a two sport varsity athlete (football, lacrosse) and is the Captain of the Mock Trial Team US Naval Academy & US Air Force Academy
- Mark is also a two sport varsity athlete (cross country, lacrosse) - US Military Academy
All three are expecting to hear from their respective service academies by March.

“Not just any student qualifies for nomination to a service academy,” said Renacci. “These students represent the best the United States has to offer, and their nomination is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. Their decision to serve our country in uniform is admirable, and it is my honor to nominate these outstanding individuals.”
The students said they have been interested in serving in the military since they were children.
