$550,000 Overhaul Planned For Strongsville Library
The Cuyahoga County Public Library System said it will enclose the teen space and add six quiet rooms, among other additions to the branch.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — The Strongsville Library will soon offer a bevy of new amenities to patrons thanks to a $550,000 overhaul. The Cuyahoga County Public Library System (CCPL) announced the planned improvements last week, saying the project should be completed in late September 2017.
In a press release, the county library system said residents had asked for a dedicated space for teenagers and more areas for quiet study. It appears the library system was listening, because it said it plans to enclose the Strongsville branch's teen space, and install six new quiet rooms.
The library will also be receiving an audio and video recording studio for public use, new furniture throughout the building, additional lighting, and upgraded audio visual equipment in the children's storytime room. None of the additions or projects will impact the hours of the library, the CCPLS said. Renovation will take place during regular hours.
The CCPL's Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve the improvements to the Strongsville Branch at the March 28, 2017 meeting. The projects will not increase the footprint of the Strongsville library.

"This (renovation) is the result of feedback that customers have expressed to the Strongsville branch staff, and our staff's observations of community needs at the branch," Rob Rua, CCPL spokesperson told cleveland.com.
