The AM PM store inside the BP station on Royalton Road is now a 7-Eleven, although most customers haven't noticed it yet.
An employee, who asked that her name not be used, said BP sold its AM PM stores a few years ago and now 7-Eleven has acquired some of them.

Signs reflecting the new store have not yet been installed, leaving some customers confused.
"People are calling saying, 'why does my receipt say 7-Eleven,'" the employee said.

She said the products in the store will change soon and a Slurpee machine will be delivered.
"We all can't wait," she said.
The Subway shop inside the store will close by the end of the year.
Even some city officials were surprised this week to hear about the change to 7-Eleven.
At a meeting Monday night, City Council filed a conditional objection to a request to transfer a liquor permit from AM PM to 7-Eleven. Several said they had to look up the address -- 16625 Royalton Rd. -- to figure out where the 7-Eleven was located.
The objection to the permit will be lifted once the business fixes some building code violations.
