7 Important January Dates in Strongsville Schools

STRONGSVILLE, OH - Students return to school today, concluding winter break and giving parents a chance to recoup the energy they spent in the past two weeks. However, the wheel keeps turning and the school district has a few upcoming dates that parents will want to be aware of.

Besides the dates listed below, there are also a bevy of sporting events for students and parents to attend. Namely, it's basketball and wrestling season, so the online calendar is dotted with near daily events. If your child is interested in playing a sport, you may want to carve out some time to attend a match or game.

• Martin Luther King Jr. Day (No School) - Jan. 16
• Records Day (No School - SHS) - Jan. 17
• Facilities Development Committee Meeting - Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m.
• Kent State University Jazz Band Concert at SHS - Jan. 26 at 7 p.m.
• Women's Empowerment Festival - Jan. 28 at 7 p.m.
