A man who checked to see if his phone was working by dialing 911 may wish he'd picked another number for the test.
Police received a 911 hang-up call about 5:15 p.m. Jan. 25. When dispatchers called back, a recording said the number was temporarily disconnected.
Police have to check out all 911 calls, so officers went to the Prospect Road address where the call originated and spoke with the resident, who said he was testing his land line by dialing 911.
