Accused Sexual Predator Arrested In Brook Park

BROOK PARK, OH — Nude images were sent by an Indiana man to who he believed was a 14-year-old girl, the Department of Justice said this week. The teenager was actually an undercover law enforcement officer, who had allegedly been targeted by the man for a planned sexual encounter.

The 32-year-old Indiana man was arrested when he traveled to Brook Park to meet his target. He's being charged with enticement and intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct, the Department of Justice announced in a release.

The 32-year-old first made contact with the undercover officer in April 2017. He initiated the online conversation, asking how old the agent was. The agent replied that she was 14. The 32-year-old then said he'd like to go to Ohio to have sex with her, and repeatedly sent nude image of himself, according to court documents.

Then, on March 16, he said he was coming to Ohio to have sex with the 14-year-old. He arrived at an agreed-upon location and was arrested, the Department of Justice said.

The Ohio Internet Crimes against Children Task Force, the Department of Homeland Security and Immigrations Customs Enforcement led the investigation into the 32-year-old.
