Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:
- Strongsville and Kraków Rotary Clubs have completed the purchase of two ambulances for Ukraine. The vehicles have been painted a color different from traditional Ukrainian ambulances to prevent their destruction by Russian forces. The Strongsville Rotary continues to offer health services to refugees through a non-profit clinic. Clothing and canned food have also been donated. (cleveland.com)
- The former Cuyahoga County Recorder has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a Parma police officer during an April incident. Patrick J. O'Malley was charged with felonious assault of a peace officer, assault of a peace officer, obstructing official business, and arresting arrest during the mental-health crisis incident. O'Malley has faced a litany of legal issues since 2004. (Cleveland.com)
- Cuyahoga County hosted a back-to-school event on Thursday to raise awareness for the various programs meant to support families throughout the school year. Backpacks filled with supplies were distributed during the event. About 50 organizations participated. Hopefully, the county's families will be better prepared for the 2022-2023 school year after the event. (News 5 Cleveland)

- The Strongsville Police Department is reminding drivers to reduce speed. In 2020, 11,258 drivers were killed in speeding-related incidents. Arrive alive - slow down. (Strongsville Police Department via Facebook)
- The Outdoor Movie Night is on Aug. 12 at Youth Sports Park on Lunn Road. The movie starts at dusk. There will be a double screening of "The Bad Guys" and "Partysaurus Rex". The movies are free. (City of Strongsville)
