Dog Doused
An Acacia Drive resident got suspicious when his dog ran off and returned smelling like sulphur and gasoline early Sept. 23.
The man said he saw someone in a car leave a beer bottle in the street and wondered if they had thrown something at the pup.
Nope. Police took a whiff and said the culprit was easy to identify -- the dog got a direct hit from a skunk.
Officers offered the man some clean-up tips.
Oops -- Forgot Something
Police noticed a garage door open on Northpointe Circle about 12:45 a.m. Sept. 23 -- and a car inside with a door standing ajar.
An officer made contact with the resident, who checked and found nothing missing from the car.
He told police he may have forgotten to close the door.
