Bonnie Lane Added to Street Paving List

Bonnie Lane has been added to the list of road projects for 2011.

Work is getting underway this week on the cul-de-sac street, which runs off Pearl Road and has between 50 and 60 homes.

It was not on the original list of roads on the city's $5 million work list this year.

"It was something that evolved as the year went on," Mayor Tom Perciak said. 

The city has hired Karvo Paving Co. for $133,792 to put a new layer of asphalt on Bonnie Lane.

City Council approved the contract last week.

"When we had the opportunity to deliver the service, we did," Perciak said. "But like anything else, we had to find the money."
