Cleveland Clinic Strongsville encouraging community to get walking with 'Walk with a Doc'
Cleveland Clinic Strongsville Family Health and Surgery Center to host Walk with a Doc every Saturday morning from June 1 through November 30.
Cleveland Clinic Strongsville Family Health and Surgery Center physicians will be lacing up their tennis shoes every Saturday morning from June 1 through November 30 in an effort to get the community active and learn about health through the Walk with a Doc program.
Walk with a Doc combines a casual 1.5 to 3-mile walk with a brief informative talk by a Cleveland Clinic Strongsville physician. Topics will vary every week and will cover general health and wellness issues. Walkers are also invited to participate in the talk and ask the physician any questions that they may have on the topic.
“Walking is one of the easiest forms of exercise that gets your heart pumping and burns calories. We’re excited to launch Walk with a Doc in Strongsville and think it’s a great way to meet new people and discuss important health topics in a comfortable, relaxed environment,” says John Jewell, MD, associate medical director for Cleveland Clinic Strongsville Family Health and Surgery Center.
