Rockin' and Jammin' Sixties Music - A Band Called Aftermath

The band Aftermath had the crowd singing, clapping and dancing to authentic sounding sixties music. It's refreshing to listen to a band that knows how to do music right!

Who isn't looking for a good sixties band?  My husband, Peter, was very involved in the music scene in England in the 1960's. He knew many of the rockers before they were big when they played in the local clubs. Having gone to school with Mick Jagger, he remembers the days when the Rolling Stones would bring their instruments to the pubs, then plugged in some amplifiers and they were ready to rock.

You've already read my blog about the Herman's Hermits concert with Peter Noone  http://strongsville.patch.com/blog_posts/noonatics-rock-with-british-inv...

Now, the real surprise of that concert at Akron's Lock 3 was the warm-up band, Aftermath, which played hits from the sixties. Aftermath was the consumate 60's experience! From period correct instruments and clothing, Aftermath recreated the sights and sounds of the 1960's with amazing accuracy. It was one hit after another and the crowd was singing, dancing and clapping to the music.

Band members include Tom Tasby, Willie Tasby, Kim Pizzino, Eric Parham, Brad Morkel, Dave Snyder, John Authenreith and the General Manager is Kim Pizzino and they are out of Akron, not very far to travel for terrific, authentic 60's music! They recently played at the Parmatown Rib Festival. We sure hope they bring more of this great music to the Cleveland area! Rock-n-roll fans know good music and could use some more upbeat sixties music! Oh, and Peter? He gives Aftermath a thumbs up for entertainment!

The band can be found on the facebook page "Aftermath, Experience the Sixties."
