Chamber Can Stay in City Building

The city has renewed its agreement with the for a low-rent lease at Old Town Hall, 18829 Royalton Rd.

The chamber will pay $300 a year for the next five years, according to the contract.

But the organization must pay all the utilities and do all the upkeep, including improvements.

"They're responsible for all the maintenance," Council President Mike Daymut said.

The chamber has also put more than $50,000 into a new roof and other repairs to the historic building.

"They've put a substantial amount of money into the property over the years," Law Director Ken Kraus said.
