Child Safe Fair is Sunday, April 1
8th annual event runs 1-4 p.m. at Ehrnfelt Recreation Center

The Eighth Annual Child Safe Community Day Fair in Strongsville is set for 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 1 at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center.
This popular event is presented by the Strongsville Rotary Club, and sponsored by MetroHealth Systems, , and the .
The event is free. Nearly 2,000 people attended last year.

Several members of Strongsville police and fire departments, as well as a representative from RB&C Poison Control Center, will offer information on topics like safety in the home, stranger danger and crimes agains children.
MetroHealth will also have information about preventing childhood obesity.

Children and parents will receive a child identification kit, complete with an emergency medical release card, fingerprints and a personal description record that parents take home and update regularly. Members of law enforcement will assist with the fingerprinting.
There will also be a fun interactive stranger danger awareness program conducted by Master Jeff Ellis and a martial arts demonstration by .
Fun activities like an Easter egg hunt, ice cream eating contest, pictures with the Easter bunny along with clowns, face painting, balloons and an inflatable bouncer house by Awesome Inflatables of Grafton will make this a “kid friendly” family event.
