Citywide 9/11 Ceremony Planned by Strongsville Church

First Lutheran will mark 10th anniversary with service on Commons

of Strongsville is organizing a citywide observance to mark the 10-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The church is teaming with city leaders for the event, which is set for 6 p.m. today on the City Commons.

The church invites the public to "Transcend September 11, 2001-2011. Unite. Reflect. Pray."

Guest speaker will be Jonathan Wright, third generation firefighter, first responder at Ground Zero and author of the book, Firehouse Down: Life After Ground Zero.

Other speakers include Mayor Tom Perciak and neighboring community pastors, as well as a community choir and brass ensemble and a contemporary band.
