Cleveland Metroparks has Voyager Canoe Paddles

Cleveland Metroparks is inviting you to experience the Fur Trade era on Voyageur Canoe Paddles. 

Paddle back in time on a 34-foot canoe, sing French Canadian songs and learn about the Great Lakes fur trade era on an hour-long history program.

The Voyageur Canoe Paddles are on Saturdays and Sunday as follows:

Wallace Lake in Mill Stream Run Reservation

August 20 and 21

Hinckley Lake in Hinckley Reservation

 • Sept. 10 and 11

• Sept. 24 and 25

• Oct. 1 and 2 

• Oct. 15 and 16 

Shove-off times are 11 a.m., 12:30, 2, and 3:30 p.m.,each day.  

Registration and a $5 fee per person are required. Groups are welcome, but do need registration, too. Life jackets are provided.

Wallace Lake is located off Valley Parkway in Mill Stream Run Reservation, south of Bagley Road in Berea.

Hinckley Lake Boathouse is located off West Drive in Hinckley Reservation, between Bellus and State roads in Hinckley Township.
