Coming Soon: Cupcakery with 'Guilt-Free' Treats

No opening date yet, but it will be soon, company says

Renovations are going strong at Pure DeLite, a  that features all-natural ingredients and reduced-fat recipes.

The company, which operates , is looking to open a bakery and milk/coffee bar at 17100 Royalton Rd., in the plaza next to the former Borders.

Crews have been on site for the last few weeks, and the store's Facebook page says they are now painting and putting in cabinets.

An opening date won't be set until the store passes all its city inspections.

The shop uses whole wheat flour, organic pure cane sugar, organic butter (but just a small amount), organic egg whites, and local and organic fruits and vegetables for what it calls "guilt-free cupcakes."

"There is a big demand for anything that is good for you," owner Rachel Hough told Strongsville Patch in December, when plans went before the city's Planning Commission. "People are taking more care into what they feed theirselves and their families and if it tastes amazing and is better for you, there is no downside."

Pure DeLite will include seating for up to 28 people.
