Crazy 8 Store At SouthPark Mall To Close
The retail chain announced the closures on Tuesday. Parent company Gymboree declared bankruptcy in June 2017.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Children's clothing retailer Gymboree announced on Tuesday that it plans to close 350 stores nationwide, including 11 in Ohio. The retailer also operates the Crazy 8 and Janie and Jack stores and will be closing six of those stores in the Buckeye State.
Among the stores being closed is the Crazy 8 at SouthPark Mall in Strongsville and the Crazy 8 at Great Northern Mall in North Olmsted. The Strongsville location's address is 252 Southpark Center. The North Olmsted location's address is 4954 Great Northern Mall.
The closings are part of Gymboree's bankruptcy, which the retailer announced in June 2017. Prior to the closing announcements, Gymboree operated 1,281 stores nationwide.

“Importantly, we will continue to operate a majority of our stores and will continue to deliver quality merchandise and superior service to our customers at our Gymboree, Janie and Jack and Crazy 8 brands," said Daniel Griesemer, president and CEO of Gymboree in a statement. "This was a difficult decision to make, but we are confident that it is in the best long-term interest of our Company, our customers and our broader employee base."
Store closing sales at impacted locations will begin July 18, according to a press release from the company.
