STRONGSVILLE, OH — The Strongsville Schools and Strongsville police need crossing guards to help shepherd students safely to and from their classes. The part-time positions pay $12.44 per hour, according to information from the district.
Crossing guards work one to two hours per school day. Applicants must be at least 18-years-old, of good moral character and have the ability to be on their feet, in any weather, for extended stretches of time.
Crossing guards must also be comfortable discouraging unsafe behavior by children near roadways, working with traffic to help children move through the city safely and observing and reporting any unsafe drivers to police.
