Deer Hunting Permits Now Available In Strongsville
Residents will need to pay $35 to apply and need to have three contiguous acres of land to quality for a permit.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Deer control permits are now available at the Strongsville Police department, 18688 Royalton Rd. There have been some changes in the application requirements for 2017, the most important being that the land requirement for bow hunting has been reduced from five acres to three acres. Residents with three acres of land may now purchase a bow hunting permit.
Strongsville Police noted on Facebook that applications are now $35. Applications are due back to the department by no later than Sept. 30, 2017.
An ordinance approved by Strongsville City Council gives residents with three contiguous acres the right to bow hunt white tailed deer. Hunting of the deer must be conducted from an elevated platform, according to the legislation.

Strongsville Police Chief Mark Fender told cleveland.com that all parcels that are set to be hunted will be inspected by a representative of the chief of police prior to a permit being issued.
