Councilman at Large Joe DeMio will host a meeting for parents and guardians of students regarding the Washington, D.C. trip for eighth-graders this November.
The meeting is set for Thursday, April 26 at the theater auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the meeting will start promptly at 7 p.m.
More than 500 people attended last year's meeting.

Last year, when school budget cuts forced the school district to cut the eighth-grade trip to D.C., , using the same tour bus company the schools use and getting parents to chaperone. The cost was only a few dollars more than the school-sponsored trip would have been.
