Discount Drug Mart: Looks Like a Few More Weeks

It appears the Discount Drug Mart at Royalton and Prospect roads won't open for a few more weeks.

Company officials have not yet announced an opening date and could not be reached for comment.

Project manager Phil Ozan of Neshkin Construction referred questions to the Drug Mart office, which did not respond.

But a sign on the door says the store will open in March.

The drugstore, which will anchor a , was supposed to be open by Christmas, but ran over its original construction timetable.

Drug Mart is expanding the former Vigliucci's Bi-Rite at the corner of Prospect and Royalton roads for a 27,960-square-foot store. The company is adding 12,000 square feet to the front of the building, including a drive-through pharmacy.

 and  have already moved to another spot in the plaza to make way for the Discount Drug Mart, and an outbuilding was razed for more parking.
