Donald Trump Campaign Sets Up Middleburg Heights Headquarters
The business mogul's campaign moved into its new headquarters at the site of the former Faroh's Chocolate building this week.

MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, OH — Cleveland, brace yourselves. The Donald is here.
The GOP frontrunner, fresh off of a "winning" Super Tuesday, is focusing in on the Ohio Republican Primary to be held March 15. To plan for the primary, Trump chose Faroh's Chocolates at Southland Shopping Center as his Cuyahoga County headquarters, Middleburg Heights Mayor Gary Starr told Patch.

Whether the candidate is planning to put his name on the building is yet to be confirmed.
The decision to host Trump's headquarters was not politically motivated, Starr said, but it presented "a unique opportunity for myself and the residents of Middleburg to show off the great city.

"This is not about being red or blue, it’s about being green," Starr told Patch. "Money is green and he’s going to bring a lot of media, a lot of staffers, and it’s going to fill our hotels, our restaurants and our other business."
Starr said that Trump may have picked Middleburg Heights due to its close proximity to Downtown Cleveland and Cleveland Hopkins Airport. He said Trump is also particularly fond of a hotel in town.
Starr added that the city would welcome other candidates. In fact, Starr told Patch that another GOP presidential candidate is planning to establish a headquarters in the city, depending on his performance in upcoming primaries and caucuses. Starr would not reveal which candidate he was talking about, but said that if he didn't drop out of the race he would follow through with the plan.
Starr met with Trump's campaign staff to discuss the deal on Wednesday, and the Trump team moved fast.
"It’s operational right now," Starr said. "They moved in Thursday, and it's fully operational. The phones are set up, distribution, everything a campaign headquarters does."
So to all the Trump supporters out there in Northeast Ohio looking to sign up to volunteer or get their "Make America Great Again" swag, you now know where to go.
Starr has said that since the Trump campaign set up the headquarters, the reaction from the community has been a mixed bag.
"Some have been positive, but some are obviously disenchanted because of politics. But as I said this isn't about politics, we welcome the Democratic party as well here."
The Middleburg Heights office isn't Trump's first foray into campaigning in the Buckeye State. The GOP frontrunner brought his seemingly unstoppable campaign to Columbus earlier this week and has set up an office in the liberal stronghold of Lorain. In both 2008 and 2012, Barack Obama easily won Lorain county, according to the county board of elections.
