Drake Road May Stay Closed Till Monday Afternoon Following Water Main Break

Drake Road west of Howe Road will probably remain closed till Monday afternoon following a water main break there on Thursday.

"It was a big line that broke," Service Director Joe Walker said. "It did a lot of damage to the road."

The road is closed between Howe Road and Park Lane Drive.

Crews from Cleveland's Division of Water stopped the flow of water Thursday night and are today replacing a section of pipe.

Walker said he has scheduled a contractor to come in Monday morning to repave the section of roadway.

"The road (Drake) will probably be open Monday afternoon," he said.
