“Meet the Impressionists”

If your child loves drawing, coloring, painting and creating on paper this is the group for them! They will be taken on a journey that will allow them to explore 3 different impressionists. Upon studying their famous pieces of artwork, we will then imitate their styles in 4 or 5 creative pieces to keep. Styles are adapted from Monet’s soft colorful blends, Van Gogh’s bold vibrant lines and Seurat’s intricate pointillism. Children will walk away with some art history knowledge and will be proud to show off their own masterpieces!
Ages: 8 – 12

Length: 10 week program; 1 hour class, 1x week

Cost: $185 first child, $135 sibling; plus $20-$25 of required supplies
Teacher: Pam Simpson
Pam holds a BA in teaching art and elementary education from Wittenberg University. Additionally, she holds a Master’s degree in teaching reading from Baldwin-Wallace University. Pam taught 3rd grade and elementary art for 30 years with the Strongsville City School System and has recently retired. She continues to enjoy working with children inspiring them to create.
