Youth Honors Chorales at B-W

The Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music Outreach Department presents a concert featuring the Youth Honors Chorales under the direction of Dr. Judith E. Burns on Friday, May 6 at 7 pm in the Kulas Musical Arts Building, 96 Front St., Berea. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Honors Chorales, which are made up of students in fourth through eighth grade, will perform music from a range of styles, historical periods and cultures.

Burns, an Associate Professor of Choral Music Education at B-W, also directs the Women's Chorale and teaches undergraduate courses in music education. She frequently serves as a guest conductor and clinician and has conducted All-State Choirs in Michigan, Oregon, Washington and Montana. Dr. Burns holds degrees in Choral Music Education from Central Michigan University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Doctor of Musical Arts in Conducting from Michigan State University.
