Former Strongsville Schools Employee Pleads Guilty to Rape of Minor

The former school employee had been accused of raping a teenage boy in 1994.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — A former Strongsville schools employee pleaded guilty earlier this month to having sex with a minor in 1994.

Oren Youngstein, 64, pleaded guilty to rape on March 10, according to case records from the Cuyahoga County Clerk's website. Youngstein was accused of having sexual contact with a teenage boy in February of 2015, reported Cleveland.com.

Youngstein had worked at Strongsville City Schools as an IT assistant for nearly eight years. He was employed by the school district from August, 1996 until July, 2004, according to Cleveland.com.

Youngstein had also served as a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, reported the website. The child he was accused of raping was not involved with the scouts.

Youngstein was held on $20,000 bail, which he posted the day he was put in jail. His sentencing is set for April 18.
