'Good Morning, Center Middle School'
Behind the scenes with the morning announcements crew; celebrating Pride Tribe
Broadcast from a perch tucked high above a classroom, students at get the daily report of school news and announcements thanks to a group of 30 students who rotate a weekly shift and duties that include announcing, camera operation and music.
According to assistant principal and advisor Adam Marino, more than 50 students tried out for the crew. He looked for "good reading skills which aligns with our district goal. Also, they had to have personality and be committed to (the responsibility)."
Experienced eighth-graders are handling the reins until the new schedule takes effect for the year. Then they'll also assist the newbies.

By the end of the school year, a main hallway bulletin board will be completely filled with pictures of the Pride Tribe. What a great program!
Congratulations to Jade, Morgan, Reilly and Andy! Their pictures are posted in the slideshow. Each is shown with the teacher that nominated them except for Andy. He was unavailable but word is, his random act was helping a student with a locker.
