Gusman Won't Seek Re-Election to School Board

It's a 'self-imposed term limit,' incumbent says

School Board member Dave Gusman will not seek a third term on the Strongsville Board of Education.

Calling it a "self-imposed term limit," Gusman said his eight years on the board are enough.

"After two terms, I've accomplished the majority of my original goals," he said. "It's time for someone else to step up and take a leadership role."

He said he is proud of the board's accomplishments during his term of service.

"In the eight years I've been on the board, we've enacted a number of changes, including replacing every single principal and all the senior administrators," he said. "We've also initiated a number of cost-saving measures and are operating in the black."
