Household Hazardous Waste Collection is This Week
Drop off vehicle fluids, cleaners, chemicals at service garage

The city is hosting a Household Hazardous Materials Roundup this week at the city , 16099 Foltz Parkway.
Residents can drop off their unwanted hazardous chemicals, cleaners and other items from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, April 8, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 9.Â
Materials that will be accepted are oil- or solvent-based paints, varnishes, mineral spirits, caustic household cleaners, adhesives, gasoline, sealers, polyurethanes, herbicides, roof tar, lighter fluid, automotive fluids, primers and coatings, shellacs, pesticides, motor oil, driveway sealer, mercury, paint thinner, turpentine, fungicides, car batteries, kerosene and fluorescent bulbs.

Latex paint is not accepted. No after-hours drop-offs will be permitted.
The drop-off is for households only, not businesses, churches, groups, etc.Â

The city holds three hazardous waste collections a year. The next are July 11-16 and Oct. 17-22.
