The topic came up at Tuesday when a resident asked whether the city was pursuing a pool.

That plan did not materialize.
Many residents lamented the closing of Strongsville's previous outdoor pool, located at the city's former recreation center at Prospect and Drake roads, more than a decade ago. The idea of building a new one has been bandied around for years, but officials have said the city doesn't have the money.
But this week, Perciak, who is lobbying officials in Columbus for money to widen the southern-most stretch of Pearl Road, said he does not believe there is money available for that type of recreation project.
"We've go to put that on the back burner," he said.
