Killed Strongsville Teacher Identified, More Details Released
Police laid out more details on the slaying of a sixth grade teacher in the city.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Strongsville Police have released more details on the grisly killing of a sixth grade Strongsville teacher. The woman was reportedly stabbed to death.
Police said they were called to a house on Blazing Star Dr. Monday night at about 8 p.m. for reports of a possible homicide. When they arrived they found Melinda Pleskovic, 49, with stab wounds.
Strongsville firefighters treated Pleskovic on the scene before rushing her to Southwest General Hospital, where she died. The Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) is aiding the Strongsville Police Department with the investigation.
A spokesperson for Strongsville Police said reports of break-ins around the Blazing Star Dr. neighborhood are not supported by reports to the police department.
