Here are the top three stories in Strongsville today:

  1. Heavy lake-effect rains might create flooding problems in Cuyahoga County. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the area through tonight. The forecasted two to four inches of rain could cause flooding primarily along rivers, creeks, and streams. Additional rain could occur. (News 5 Cleveland)
  2. The Strongsville Mustangs fell to Cleveland Heights on Friday night. The final score was 56-28. Cleveland Heights senior quarterback Darreon Fair led the Tigers with scores on 69, 12, 72, and 43-yard plays.   3. On Sunday, Sep. 18, the Ohio State Patrol called the Strongsville Police Department and requested a K9 unit. The department dispatched the K9 for a car search on Interstate 71. The K9 unit discovered cocaine, mushrooms, and marijuana in the vehicle's passenger door. (Subscription: cleveland.com)
