Leaf Collection Won't Change, But Notification Will

City won't mail out notices with fall pickup dates this year

Residents who want leaves picked up by the city this fall will have to check the city's cable TV channel or website.

Service Director Joe Walker said Strongsville will not mail out fliers this year with the dates of leaf collection to save money.

"It's more cost effective," Walker said. "The schedule will be posted continuously on the website and cable channel."

Crews from the city typically make three or more passes through the city each fall to gather leaves residents have raked to the curbside.

Leaf collection generally starts in mid-October. The city takes the leaves to state-approved sites.
