Lighting Ceremony is Friday

Strongsville's annual lighting ceremony on the City Commons is set again for the day after Thanksgiving.

The hugely popular annual event, which includes Santa's arrival on a fire truck, will start at dusk on Nov 23.

Mayor Tom Perciak said he expects things to get under way about 5:30 p.m.

After the mayor flips the switch to light up the Winter Wonderland on the Commons, Santa arrives on a decked-out Strongsville fire truck. 

The event includes free hot cocoa and other refreshments. There are also live reindeer on display.
